One Year Old ~ April 11, 2012 ~ All because two people fell in love

"He is faithful, He keeps his promises." Deut. 7:9

One year, approximately 10 pounds, 10 inches later Eve is a whole year old!

Starting to Walk: 3-15-12
She's still pretty wobbly but is increasingly getting braver.

First trip to Washington, DC 3/27/12
Easily consoled by rubbing her head.
Green food distain: by looks only. Of she doesn't see that it's green then she's good.
First taste of dairy: Fro-yo from Menchies. (cake batter flavor)

Her first birthday party was a success! It was rainbow themed and she seemed to really love playing with all her friends. She did not however want anything to do with her smash cake. She was upset that her hands were all sticky and she kept spitting out the cake while later that night she couldn't get enough of her carrots and didn't care that they were all over her face and hands. I love that she doesn't care for sweets.

This past year has flown by and I tear thinking of all her accomplishments and growth she has done. There have been long nights, short days, diaper adventures, and just trying to get the hang of parent and child. The adaptations we have made to our lives have made us better people. Eve has made us better people. The constant need for patience, endurance and never ending love is only a small part of how our lives has been filled. Our (speaking for Douglas as well) cup overfloweth indeed! I am so grateful we are surrounded by the family and friends in our lives.

Continue to pray for Eve as she continues to grow each day.
*May she never cease to feel the love we have for her.
*May she continue to be the strong girl she is trying to be.
*May she always know right from wrong.
*May she have a humble heart and tender to those around her.

My constant prayer for MissE:
" But grow in the grace and knowledge of out Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen" 2 Peter 3:18
