26 weeks

The belly has officially entered the furniture genre as a table.

I'm still waiting for the burst of energy to kick in and the nausea to move on (sigh).

Irrational fears. Does anyone else get this? I feel like I'm five and afraid of the dark or a monster under my bed. Except its not the dark or monsters. It's really random things like getting into car accidents or someone breaking into our house, especially when Douglas is at work. Is this strange? God is our protector!

I'm continuing to do the prenatal yoga. It's not my favorite way to exercise but I do like that its at least something I can do and I feel great afterwards.

Nursery Update: We have very little done with the nursery. We've got some stuff cleared out but really need to figure out furniture, etc. I have lots of ideas floating around in my head but accomplishing them is a challenge (see above for energy level).

Baby Girl is growing! She's 2 pounds now yet feels like 50! It's so strange to think that someone not even the weight of one of my hand held weights can feel SO heavy. Her eyesight is clearing (the retina is focusing). She is moving around a lot, mostly at night when I'm trying to be still in bed. Dad is getting to feel her strength and movements pretty often now.

Jesus, As our baby girl is developing her eyesight, I pray she will have clear vision not only of the objects around her but for You and Your calling for her. Help her to keep her eyes always focused on you so others may know and love You. Thank you God for this child growing in me and in our hearts. <3

24 weeks

Symptoms:

Emotional mess. Anything and everything makes me go crazy.

Headaches: paralyzing.

This week I can really feel her presence. She's been kicking and rolling around in there, I'm hoping, happy as a clam. She's also gotten heavy all of a sudden and the belly has definitely gotten larger (probably other body parts of mine as well). There is no doubt there's a baby inside. She is around a pound and a half and 8 1/2 inches long (imagine an eggplant). She is still translucent which means her body fat isn't all there, basically see through. I love that she can hear sounds in there, including my breathing. But especially like she is starting to recognize mine and Dad's voice (sister's too I'm sure).

Thank you Jesus for allowing me to experience this amazing miracle. Help our little eggplant to continue to grow.

Eve turns two

When I think about you I think "what a wonderful world".
I think it's funny that whenever she sees two of something she automatically labels one mommy and the other daddy.
She loves going to school. She is becoming quite the expert talker. She's a lover of any animal and baby dolls. She's learning to use her manners quite well. Her favorite character is Minnie Mouse. Her favorite foods are daddy's grilled chicken, macaroni, bunny crackers and milk. She is 35 inches tall!

My little love,
Words can not even begin to express my feelings over these last two years. Getting the privilege to watch you grow has been the highlight of mine and Daddy's lives. You are becoming such an exceptional person. Watching you learn and experience the world around you each day is a thrill. I love the excitement you have when you see something new. I love the pride in your face when you do something new. I feel that pride for you too! You are so smart. You are so beautiful. You are so special. Your name is never far from my lips in conversations and in prayers. I pray for your continued health, strong growth, strong spirit and closeness to God. Tears stream down my face as I think about how fast, too fast, these two years have gone. So many amazing memories. So many moments I want to relive because they were too brief. I feel so honored to have experienced them with you, little love. I can not wait for more of them in your many years to come. All my love, Mom

" So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children." Psalm 78:6 Symptoms: Heartburn! I literally feel like my throat is on fire! Sinus issues. I am constantly stuffy and/or coughing up stuff yuck! Indecisiveness. I am having the hardest time making decisions. Whether its what to eat, wear or do. I feel like my mind is literally blank at times. =[ Cravings: As of the last week and a half, nothing. And by that I mean I don't even want to eat. I have to force myself to think about eating and this is so not me. If you know me, you know how much I love food. Baby Girl is a pound now! Imagine holding a bag of sugar. Doesn't seem too bad but try carrying that around ALL day. If only it was toning me up. Well, I am getting a nice firm belly. ;) Hair is growing more and more which may explain the increase heartburn. Feels like fire in my throat. Gah! Her eyes are developing more. I'm praying that she has her Daddy's eye sight and not mine. Strong and clear. Father, Thank you for blessing me with the ever growing child inside me. Thank you for her development each week. Please continue to keep her healthy and no complications. I pray she will continue to know her maker and will grow in Your will so she may tell her children of Your love and grace.
