Ornament

Each year Douglas and I buy an ornament that represents the year we just went through. Such as a mortal an pestle for when Douglas graduated, a house when we bought our house and an airplane for the year we traveled back n forth to KY all summer among other places. It's nice to stop and think back on the year and "label" it with some sort of representation. Here is this years:

Appropriate, right? It's fun to reminisce on all our years and experiences together. What is a tradition you have in your family each holiday season??

20 Weeks down, 20 to go

 WHAT! We are half way there. I can not believe how fast the time is going. I am getting more and more excited each day. Douglas and I have been busy researching a variety of products from cribs to strollers. What an incredible feat this is. Would love any and all advice you have on anything. What are the items you felt the most necessary to purchase that were actually used and what brands do you recommend? Its so hard to walk into a store and see all kinds of adorable and seemingly can't live withouts but we don't want to waste our money on things that will only be used for a month or not at all. So, HELP!

What are you thankful for?

On this day that completely focuses on giving thanks, I am feeling so thankful for so much in my life.
I am thankful for...
Having a lovely home  over my head that I know I can come home to each day to rest and replenish.
Having the cutest dog and cat that are always willing to love unconditionally and know when I need extra loving.
Having a job I love and am able to help shape the future.
Having co-workers that help and teach me willingly and encourage me daily.
Having friends that are there for me to make me laugh and/or tell me when I need to put my big girl panties on!
Having family I can count on in all times, good or bad, and who just love where I am.
Having a baby girl growing inside me, who I already love so much that I will soon be able to hold in my hands.
Having a husband that loves, respects, teaches, shares, communicates, prays, encourages.... never ending...

Most of all I am grateful to my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with so many to be thankful for. He is truly the one that has orchestrated everything in my life and I can't wait to see what He brings into it in the future.
Thank you Jesus!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

18 Weeks and It's a ...

 It's a GiRL!
I can't believe it! I was very nervous going into the appointment because I really thought it was going to be a boy since 95% of the people kept saying it seemed like it. Even the baker at our Publix said so.  What was I going to do with a boy. Geez, I know nothing. Douglas on the other hand was so excited and was "yeup, its a boy. We are going to have so much fun, I totally got this."
Well, not so much. Total girl and I got more excited and Douglas was like, "craaap, what am I going to do with a girl. I know nothing. " LOL I love how we role reversed.
It was a little difficult for the technician to find the right parts due to her moving so much. Surprise, surprise. She has been moving around so much since the very beginning which I blame my nausea on I only laughed when I saw her dancing and swimming around in there.
So, this will be the first girl on the Drummond side since forever. Im a little scared because of this let alone the first grandchild. But, I am confident that she will be so loved and well taken care of. I feel so blessed that God has given us so many people surrounding us that love and support us. Please continue to pray for our little one as she grows.
And now for names.... hmmm.....

17 Weeks

The following is a bit of and over share so continue to read at your own risk.

What a crazy/scary/embarrassing week. Wednesday I woke up, and threw up a couple times like I do everyday and headed to work. I started having slight pains in my belly but thought it was nothing. They grew increasingly more painful as the day went on to the point of me feeling like I was going to pass out. Needless to say I very concerned. I left work early and called the doctor to find out I was having very painful gas pains. Can you say embarrassing? LOL. Ahh, the joys of pregnancy. The doctor gave me some pain meds and I spent the evening curled up in a ball waiting for it all to subside.
~ I have decided that if there is a symptom of pregnancy I am going to get it.

Here's what's happening on my insides:
