Eve turns Five: 04-11-16

WOW! It has been a wild and crazy ride being four years old. Every day I am in awe of the person Eve is growing up to be. Now, she is five. Just like that. 46 inches, 37 lbs (grew 4.5 inches, 4 lbs in a year)

She ADORES her dad. And watching the two of them together fills my heart with so much love. They love to bike ride, fish and run errands together.

This girl has made me a mom. She has taught me how to love more deeply, have more patience than I knew I possessed and to find joy in EVERYthing. I am in awe of the way she moves through life. She is my role model.

Eve continues to go through life dancing to her own drum. From her unique style of dress that she finds the  most comfortable to her dramatic way of play.

She has a love of the ocean, specifically mermaids. (she does know they are pretend). The twilight zone fascinates her and all the creatures that live in that zone.

She likes to explore, observe and ask A LOT of questions. Her desire to know more about anything and everything, albeit exhausting, is enriching. Learning alongside one another is one of my favorite things to do with her.

She has such a giving heart. Always making something for someone; her best friend, the neighbor, her sister, the random person passing us at the store. I adore watching this gift. I have an entire stack of drawings beside my bed that she adds to each morning.

She is quite empathetic to others as well, for a 4 year old. If someone gets hurt she is there asking, "Are you ok? How can I help?". If there is someone sad, she will befriend them and try to console them.

Eve continues to be a little leader. I can see it through her play and through the way mothers little-er ones, especially Esther. Always teaching her how to do something or other.

Eve loves to draw, read, sing, dance, dig in her mud kitchen and do yoga with her sister. She loves the color pink. Flamingos and Zebras are her favorite animals.
