Rainy Day Activities
Baking organic cookies
Library (look for times of read alouds and activities)
Build tents inside (enjoy a story and a snack)
Create a Band (let the instruments blow)
Dancing (let Raffi blare, include mom's scarves to twirl around with)
Arts and Crafts (fathers day is right around the corner)
Painting Nails
Window shopping (great way to have conversations about "real world" and build vocabulary)
Play Dates
Swim in the tub (it's still hot even on rainy days)
Sunny Day Activities
Going to the zoo
Beach (obviously)
Cool off in the pool. (wear sunscreen)
Take a long walk (let her push her stroller) Go to the park (there are so many around my area)
Local Splash Pad
Body painting (get a large canvas or maybe a sheet and hang it outside and let the paint fly)
Yogurt Treat
Have a tea party
Feed the ducks
Water Painting (let her go at it with a big paint brush, cup of water and the sidewalk)
Bubble fun
Nature Hike
Sidewalk Chalk Mural
Water Play (includes table, pots, ladles, tupperware, buckets, etc. Great follow up to the sidewalk chalk)
