One Year Old: Esther ~ July 22, 2014

"God has poured out His love into our hearts" Romans 5:5

You are the sunshine of our lives"

Climbs on everything! Total pro at the stairs.
First step: 06-27-14

Esther can sign: mom, dad, monkey, dog please, and all done.
She can stand up without holding on to anything and has taken up to 6 steps.
Esther loves to blow kisses! Especially to her sister to say good night. She likes to rock her babies to sleep. She'll even sing them a lullaby. So sweet.

Her personality is blossoming. She continues to be mild natured and spreads joy to all. She is developing her likes and dislikes especially when playing with big sis. She's definitely not afraid to let us know when she prefers to be left alone or when she wants attention.
Esther loves to eat! She'll eat any and all fruits and veggies.

Loves to high five, clap and roar like a lion. She'll point and say "look". Sounds more like "oooook". She's also pretty good at saying "duck". Sounds like "uck ack ack". Her voice is so sweet and soft.

She loves to mimic. This is a good and bad thing. Good thing: learning signs and sounds like a champ. Bad thing: banshee cries and screaming when big sister does.
She's learning the art of conversation. Although she's not using actual words she'll "talk" and wait for an answer then "talk" again. It's pretty amusing.

Goes through life with a sense of ease. Never feels rushed. Always plays it cool.

Her first birthday party had a theme of "peaches and cream". It was full of lace and burlap fitting her personality of sweet and stinker.

"I'll love forever. I'll love you for always. As long as I'm living my baby you'll be. " and each day after.

My sweet darling daughter,
Words can not express the love I have for you. I had so much uncertainty when you entered our family. Today, a year later, there's no doubt you were our missing piece. You fit like you've always been here. In many ways, you probably have. God always knew you were going to be a part of our lives and He prepared our hearts for you. Always grooming that place to be just for you. Today, on your first birthday, I am lifting up thanksgiving for the time God took to prepare us for you and for each day after. Esther, you are so loved. Happy Birthday to the sweetest little peach to have come into our lives.
