Date Night

Last night Douglas took me to this really interesting restaurant in downtown Melbourne called Lexi. It's a martini / tapas restaurant where they serve primarily well, tapas and martinis. But one feature that was very interesting that we enjoyed was their wall of wines. You get to put money on a card and then go up the wall and make your selection of wine in three different size increments (tasting, half glass, full glass) Its very neat! Their menu, although small, was really rather delicious. We chose a selection from the beef and from the chicken and ordered a cheese plate. Then to finish it off we each got a dessert. YUM! How could I resist a chocolate trio!

It was really an interesting atmosphere. BUT, heed this warning: do not go if you are starving because this is of course a TAPAS (appetizer size portion-or "elf food" as we joked) place. Although it is connected to the restaurant Continental Flambe and they seemed fine with ordering off that menu we wanted to have the whole experiance of this place.

Side note: Douglas left for Kentucky EARLY this morning and will be back on Tuesday for work. Pray for safe travels and that he will be a huge help while he is up there! Oh, and for me while he is gone because I HATE when he's gone, Im truly a mess. =(
